Providers Management
For a subsidiary of a New Zealand university and tertiary
education provider specialising in motivational and
educational learning for more than 36000 adult learners,
NuNet developed a student management system that is
extensively used by the providers and franchises of
the educational programs for managing, monitoring and
administering their students. On completion of this
program, the students will acquire a national certificate
in employment skills at level 2 with certification in
computer competency and the accreditation from New Zealand
Qualifications Authority.
Complexities
Complex data generation for factor and forecast tables,
invoice generation based on visits made by tutors, graphical
reporting using .Net built-in packages and drag-and-drop
feature in web-based environment are some of the complexities
that have been effectively addressed by NuNet in the
application development.
The system was built on Microsoft ASP. Net environment
using VB.Net, MS SQL and MD5, the application is web
based that has secure access to educational providers/franchises
in administering the students.

the providers in administering students, enables
to view student batch in each month directly from
the live database of the university, manage &
track student movements and transfers in and out
of their region. |

Staff management
system has been incorporated to monitor performance
of staff and ascertain number of their visits
outstanding per batch, streamline the provider's
interaction with the university. |

Limited leave management
system is also provided to manage staff leave
requests. |

eMail communication
and notice board has been built to share the information
among the staff and enabling messaging across
the provider's franchise network. |

Incorporation of
a scheduler that will assign tutors to students
and schedule/manage appointments. |

Asset management
functionality that will manage and track the assets
(teaching aids, resources etc) distributed to
staff. |

The success of this application has prompted the client to enhance the scope of the existing system to include a number of new features, display of customized forecast reporting with enhanced staff and leave management system, student enrolment forms etc. The application is actively considered for re-licensing to other tertiary educational providers in New Zealand.
